A Democratic source said: "Same-sex couples will be part of his proposal." A second source confirmed that, unlike the Senate framework released Monday, same-sex bi-national couples — those with one American and one foreign partner — will be included in the White House principles.

The decision by Obama seeks to remedy what advocates for same-sex couples view as one of the most searing inequalities under the existing federal limit on marriage to one man and one woman: LGBT American citizens simply have no way to confer citizenship on their romantic partners, something that is automatic — if not always simple — for straight couples.

HOLY MORMON BIKE HELMET! It's the 1950s all over again . . . at least in Utah.  A high school has canceled its musical because parents complained that the ELVIS PRESLEY songs in the show were TOO SEXUALLY SUGGESTIVE. i know i know.. With so much more to worry about..THIS is what parents in UTAH are worried about!

The unidentified parent who got all hot and bothered over "All Shook Up" alerted officials to parts of the script that were deemed offensive.

"We want our drama to be a great experience not just for our students but the theater-goers. We don't want to offend anyone," Riesgraf said Wednesday. "What was communicated to us, they were upset with sexually explicit language and some other aspects of the play — what they deemed cross-dressing."

The AP reports that the show "borrows from Presley's songbook and puts a modern twist on William Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night.'" Which means, in addition to lyrics about how some chick's "lips are like a volcano that's hot", there was a bit of cross-dressing involved.

"I'm at a loss," Jill Fishback, whose daughter worked on the production, told The Salt Lake Tribune. "They're singing Elvis songs. A girl dresses up as a boy and kisses a boy. ... It's not promoting homosexuality. It was supposed to be a farce."

It wasn't the first time some Utah parents put an end to a school drama. In August, the family values group Eagle Forum got Jordan School District administrators to cancel a production of "Dead Man Walking," a play about a Catholic nun who counsels a death-row inmate in Louisiana.

For the dumbest proposed "cure" for homosexuality, mosey on down to The Cowboy Church of Virginia. Pastor Raymond Bell told Gay Star News that his Equine Assisted Psychotherapy will "help any person who is living the homosexual lifestyle or involved in it in any way," explaining that, "Homosexuality is actually a type of addiction. It is not 'curable' as a disease because it is a choice driven by the person." Likely with visions of the Marlboro man dancing in his head, Bell claims horses encourage men to act more masculine.

ESPN Breaks New Ground By Showing Pro Male Athlete Kissing His Husband After A Win

Described as "a first" for ESPN, which aired a victory kiss on Sunday shared between the Pro Bowling Association finals winner and his husband

In what might be a first, ESPN this weekend showed an openly gay male pro athlete kissing his husband and they did not shy away from describing the relationship. The event was the 2012 PBA Chameleon Championship in Las Vegas, held in November, but shown on TV this Sunday.

Scott Norton won the event over Jason Belmonte and afterward broke down and cried in memory of a friend who had died. He was then shown kissing his husband, Craig Woodward, as they exchanged affectionate words (video below). During the telecast, ESPN’s announcers referred to Woodward as Norton’s husband or spouse.
