WASHINGTON — The State Department says Secretary of State
Hillary Rodham Clinton, who skipped an overseas trip this past week
because of a stomach virus, sustained a concussion after fainting.
She's now recovering at home and being monitored by doctors.
An aide, Philippe Reines, says Clinton will work from home next week, at the recommendation of doctors.
Who would have thunk it? America is being overshadowed by more and more countries cuz they are held back by a bunch of bible thumping hypocrites screaming the SANCTITY of marriage- divorcing like crazy- committing adultery and touching peens in airport bathrooms?
MEXICO CITY — Mexico's Supreme Court has ruled that a law in southern Oaxaca state that bans same-sex marriages is unconstitutional, paving the way for same-sex couples to marry in that state and possibly in the rest of Mexico.
In a unanimous decision on Wednesday, the tribunal struck down a Oaxaca state law that declares that "one of the purposes of marriage is the perpetuation of the species."
The court said in its ruling that to condition marriages to the union of one man and one woman "violates the principle of equality."
Currently, same-sex marriage is only legally allowed in Mexico City, where a same-sex marriage law was enacted in 2010.
The court's ruling comes from a lawsuit filed by three gay couples against the state of Oaxaca.
Just sad..simply sad..and there is a problem in WASHINGTON ..its the TEA PARTY SCUM who would even vote down their very own former Majority Leader's wish... they discriminate antying and anyone. So dont think they will NOT care abut the fiscal Cliff.
WASHINGTON — Former Senator Bob Dole of Kansas sat slightly slumped in his wheelchair on the Senate floor on Tuesday, staring intently as Senator John Kerry gave his most impassioned speech all year, in defense of a United Nations treaty that would ban discrimination against people with disabilities.
Frail and in a wheelchair, former Senator Bob Dole was wheeled onto the Senate floor as lawmakers voted on a treaty on disabilities
Several members took the unusual step of voting aye while seated at their desks, out of respect for Mr. Dole, 89, a Republican who was the majority leader.
Then, after Mr. Dole’s wife, Elizabeth, rolled him off the floor, Republicans quietly voted down the treaty that the ailing Mr. Dole, recently released from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, so longed to see passed.
I say show her the the same respect she showed our Veterans and country! I'm sorry this is another example of our society.. and the ignorance we have allowed by cutting education- treating civics class like it doesn't exist... there are just some thing sacred and we respect them ..no matter what.. Our Veterans and those thqat gave their lives for all of us..are another thing.
While visiting Arlington National Cemetery last month, a stupid ass chick named , Lindsey Stone, who works for LIFE ( and LIFE paid for the trip) thought it would be amusing to snap a photo of herself "disrespecting" the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier by flipping it off and pretending to make noise.
She later uploaded the photo to her Facebook page, thinking her friends would get a kick out of it as well.
and we add this to the WHAT A DUMB FUCKIN MORON COLUMN
There is now has a FACEBOOK page devoted to taking this stupid moron down...
